Way too much repetition of the physical and mental exhaustion that the characters were going through...we get get it - they were all very tired!!! A suspenseful, bittersweet and well written conclusion to the saga. The characters in this series are nicely developed which engenders that important sense of empathy in the reader.
My only quibble with the series is that it's a little heavy on the Redemption and Forgiveness themes - I prefer my fantasy deities to be more mythical and less New Testament. However that's just personal taste and I'm sure others will no doubt disagree!!
Definitely worth a read especially if you're into Anne McCaffrey, Robin Hobb, and/or C.S. Lewis.
This is a great fantasy novel. Once you start reading, it is hard to stop. When you finish, you MUST have the sequel.
It is a story with twists and turns but you do not get lost or confused.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who likes fantasy writing.
